Aldebaran Acrux, a three-year-old filly by Chapter Seven who was bought by Aldebaran Park at the Harrisburg Black Book Sale in 2020, posted her first success at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 22.

Trained by Jonas Czernyson, the filly led throughout in 1:57. She had been placed twice as a two-year-old.

Aldebaran Park resident sire Skyvalley left a brace of new winners in July – both bred at the farm – in Hidden Fire (Countessa Hest by Earl) and Aldebaran Gwen (Aspenglow by Conway Hall).

The Skyvalley gelding Flash Kyvalley (T 2:00.2 – 14 wins) became his sire’s 15th $100,000 winner when he scored at Menangle on July 26.

Other Skyvalley winners were Kyvalley Finn (T1:57.7 - $242,060.00 – 14 wins), who won a heat of the Aldebaran Park Winter Trotters Cup at Kilmore, and the three-year-old My Bad Habits.

Skyvalley also figured as the damsire of three winners in the two-year-olds Wewillseehowego (Albion Park) and Larr Dees Son (Kilmore) and the four-year-olds Abbie and Super Service.

Aldebaran Eagle, whose semen is only available for the coming season due to his untimely passing, was represented by the Kilmore three-year-old winner and Aldebaran Park Maryborough Oaks runner-up Aldebaran Demi (from Aldebaran Maori by Dream Vacation – five to race for five winners).

Aldebaran Eagle has sired five individual winners from 11 starters to date.

Aldebaran Park bred seven winners for the month including the Menangle winner Aldebaran Ursula (T2 – 1:55.7 – 9 wins, Ushaka Bromac - Continentalman), the double winner Aldebaran Huey (Aldebaran Honey - Muscles Yankee), Abbie (Aldebaran Peggy - Skyvalley), Aldebaran Demi, Hidden Fire, Aldebaran Gwen and the pacer Therockgod (Aldebaran Bromac-Falcon Seelster).

In Sweden, Maori Time’s yearling colt by Readly Express named Generally Speaking may be heading to new owners in the USA whilst our three-year-old filly Aldebaran Bardot continues her progress on the straight tacks, and it is expected she will be heading to the Qualifiers at Solvalla in August 2022.
