The Listed Classic $50,000 Australasian Premier Trotting Sale Finals for three-year-old trotters at Melton proved a triumph for Aldebaran Park as the breeders and part-owners of the two winners Aldebaran Jensen and Aldebaran Miley.

Aldebaran Jensen T3 – 1.56.9 (ALDEBARAN EAGLE USA - Endsino) finished full of running to win the colts’ Final, defeating the Aldebaran Park bred Avenel Eagle (ALDEBARAN EAGLE USA - Naked Majesty).

Aldebaran Jensen has now won four races and $63,464 in stakes.

Meanwhile, Aldebaran Miley T3 1.57.9 (Father Patrick USA-Mason Magic) led from the outset and was never extended to capture the fillies’ Final. It was her fourth success from six starts this season and boosted her stake tally to $78,965.

ALDEBARAN EAGLE’s outstanding three-year-old daughter Rockinwithattitude added the Group 3 Queensland Trotters Derby and Oaks to her burgeoning list of Group successes last month. On both occasions the filly led from go to whoa and scored by open lengths

The winner of seven Group races, Rockinwithattitude has banked $257,490 from 13 wins and three placings in 19 starts.

ALDEBARAN EAGLE USA, who has vaulted to the top of the three-year-old sires’ list, was represented by two ‘new’ winners in July in the three-year-old Avenel Eagle and the four-year-old Eagles Nest.

Aldebaran Misty (ex Mason Magic) and Aldebaran Gwen (ex Aspenglow USA), a pair of Aldebaran Park bred daughters of resident sire SKYVALLEY NZ, both earned ‘black type’ status last month.

Aldebaran Misty sent her stake earnings to more than $100,000, while Aldebaran Gwen entered the 2:00 list with her 1:59.7 effort at Globe Derby Park.

SKYVALLEY NZ was also represented by the two-year-old winner Link In Bio and figured as the damsire of Im Bobby (1:58.7) and the three-year-old Wewillseehowwego.

Aldebaran Park bred seven individual winners of nine races in July including Kyvalley Heist NZ (ex U Dream NZ), who notched win No. 6 at Yarra Valley.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS:

The Aldebaran Park bred and leased / owned star Aldebaran Zeus TR 1.52.6 – 18 wins - $419,142.00 (Muscle Hill USA - Zoia Boko Swe), who will become the first Australian trotter since Scotch Notch in 1985 to contest the $1million MGM Yonkers International Trot at Yonkers Raceway, New York on September 9 – leaves for the USA on 1st August. He will be accompanied in flight by Paul Males and arrives in Chicago on 2nd August for a week of quarantine. Trainer Brent Lilley flies to the USA mid August to undertake the Final preparation at the stables of Nifty Norman with former Kiwi horseman and Lilley racing stable employee Brad Chisholm providing invaluable support in the build up the to the race – with Chris Alford booked to fly across and take the reins early September 2023 – exciting times ahead.

As per last month’s update - Dancinginthedark M Tr 1.49.3 - USD$362,304 – (Readly Express  SWE - Leila USA) - CHILLED SEMEN will be available to New Zealand Breeders this coming 2023 – 2024 Season. Having arrived in Australia in October 2022 and been available only to Australian Breeders for the remainder of last season there is no doubt his Chilled Semen will be welcomed by the breeders in New Zealand.

His Service fee in New Zealand will be $4,600.00 Incl of GST.
