It was a close-run thing but the winner of the 2023 Search For A Star was the Greene family’s What The Hill colt with his Sundon dam, Charlotte Galleon.
This image will feature on the printed edition of this year’s IRT Australasian Standardbred Stallion Guide, posted out to thousands of households across Australia and New Zealand in August.
To celebrate 10 years of Search With A Star, next year judging of our finalists will be done a bit differently - it will truly be a must-watch event! - but the general guidelines about how to enter will remain the same and can be found via the above link if you’re keen to snap your little 2023 Vicbred-eligible star and enter from October onward.
The quality is outstanding and we’re rapt to be able to showcase all your little stars in a dedicated Facebook album.
The Guide will start hitting mail boxes from August, with all full HBV members and any named owners of mare actively bred in Australia in the last two seasons receiving their free hard copy of this popular publication (one per household).
