Champion French sire Love You is represented in the iconic Hambletonian at the Meadowlands in New Jersey on Saturday.

The long-time Haras des Trotteurs roster stallion has Venerate in the final over the mile.

Venerate qualified with a third in his elimination.

He is trained by Julie Miller and will be driven out of gate eight by Andy Miller.

Venerate has a season best 1:52.1 to his name.

This is another special moment for Love You, a legendary sire in Europe and prominent stallion in Australasia.

Love You's prominence in Australia continues to grow in what is a relatively new market for him. His oldest Australian-bred progeny are four years old, with the bulk of Australian foals being three and four years of age.

He finished second in the 2019-20 Australian trotting sires premiership for two-year-old winners, with nine of his offspring tasting success.

Love You has carried this on in 2021 and mid-way through the season leads the trotting sires list for three-year-olds with 11 winners of 18 races.

He shares the lead in the two-year-old category with five.

Love You's influence will be further enhanced this breeding season with the arrival of a son, the French-bred Classic Connection, as a shuttle stallion at Haras des Trotteurs.
